Planning your soft play hire
Who it suits
Our soft play equipment is designed for children from walking age to around 8. Toddler parties usually work best with a ball pit, low climbing shapes and a small slide, while mixed age groups benefit from a larger slide and a bigger open mat area so older children have room to move without crowding the little ones.
What's included
Every hire includes the play mat base that the equipment sits on, the pieces you select and fresh balls for any ball pit. Inflatable items such as the bubble house and jumping castles come with their blower, which needs to run on mains power for the whole hire period.
Cleaning
Everything is cleaned between bookings. Balls, mats and soft shapes are wiped down with a child-safe cleaner and inflatables are cleaned and fully dried before they are packed away, so the set arrives ready to use.
Indoor and outdoor setup
Soft play can be set up indoors on any clean, flat floor, or outdoors on level lawn, decking, pavers or concrete. Outdoor areas need to be dry and free of sharp debris. In hot or wet weather we recommend adding a marquee over the play area.
Space you'll need
Each item and package lists the floor area it occupies. Measure the space before you book and allow a little clearance around the edge so children can walk around the set. Sizes on the packages page range from a 3×3 m toddler corner to a 12×8 m play world.
Safety and supervision
Soft play is not a substitute for supervision — an adult needs to watch the area at all times. Keep shoes, food, drinks and sharp objects off the mats, and keep inflatables clear of walls, heaters and cords.
Delivery and setup
We deliver, set up and pack down across Melbourne. Delivery and setup are quoted separately based on your suburb, so include it in your enquiry. Allow us access roughly 60–90 minutes before your start time.
Insurance
We hold $20 million public liability insurance, and can send a certificate of currency to your venue or council if they ask for one before the event.
Customising your setup
Any package can be changed — swap colours, add a second slide, remove pieces or match the set to your theme. Tell us your theme and space in the enquiry and we'll suggest a layout.
Complete the party
Soft play pairs well with kids tables and kids chairs, a balloon garland or backdrop behind the play area, and a marquee for shade.
